Private Fees
While the majority of services provided by the practice are covered under the NHS, some requests fall outside of NHS-funded care and are therefore considered private work.
Private services include items such as medical reports, letters, forms, and certain examinations that are not part of standard NHS provision. These services require additional time and administrative work from our clinical team, and are often completed outside of normal NHS appointment time. For this reason, fees are charged in line with guidance and in keeping with other GP practices.
Our current private fees are as follows:
- Private GP letter – £25
- Holiday cancellation forms – £40–£75 (depending on complexity and time required)
- Firearms certificate – £125
- Fostering or adoption medicals – £160
- HGV/taxi medical – £110
- Bus pass/Blue Badge forms – No charge
- Private GP appointment (15 minutes) – £30
All fees are payable in advance of the work being completed. Payment can be made by card at reception or via BACS (online banking).
