Flu Clinic Update!
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our mass flu clinic on 3rd October 2025, we vaccinated over 1,000 patients across both age groups (18–64 and 65+)!
And an extra big thank you to our amazing team who gave up their day to make it such a success.
We’re now running smaller flu clinics at the surgery.
If you’re eligible and haven’t booked yet, please make your appointment soon, once our vaccines are gone, we won’t be getting any more!
If you’ve received a text reminder but already have an appointment booked, please ignore it — our system only recognises who hasn’t yet had their flu jab.
Thank you for supporting your surgery and helping us keep our community healthy.
Are you 50+ and would like to make a Difference in Your Community?
It was a busy month in September! Despite the surgery being affected by sickness, our teams pulled together brilliantly. We also had 10 ladies attend our HRTea and Biscuit session, a menopause-focused event designed to provide accurate information and support, helping you make informed decisions and better understand what’s happening during this stage of life.
If you’d like to join one of our future sessions, please contact the surgery, and we’ll make sure your details are passed on for the next invitation.
Our DNA (Did Not Attend) rate slightly increased in September.
There are many easy ways to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Please remember:
When you don’t attend a booked appointment without letting us know, that time could have been used to help another patient.
If you can’t make it, please cancel or reschedule in advance — every appointment matters!
TLS August Stats:
Great news!
Our DNA (Did Not Attend) rate more than halved in August from previous months, a huge step forward!
A big thank you to all our patients who let us know when they couldn’t attend their appointments. This helps us offer those slots to someone else who really needs them.
However, we’re still working hard to reduce our DNA rate even further.
Remember:
When you don’t attend your booked appointment without letting us know, that time could have helped another patient.
Please cancel or reschedule in advance if you can’t make it – every appointment matters!
Help us help more patients — please cancel if you can’t attend
Our “Did Not Attend” (DNA) rate has been rising, meaning more appointments are going to waste.
When an appointment is missed without cancellation, another patient in need misses the chance to be seen sooner. If you can’t make your appointment or no longer need it, please let us know as soon as possible.
If we have your mobile number, you will receive a text reminder before your appointment. You can reply to this message to cancel quickly and easily.
Together, we can reduce waiting times and make sure every appointment helps someone who needs it.
TLS Patient Triage June Stats:
TLS June Stats:
May Update: Improving Access and Reducing Call Volumes:
In May, we received a total of 987 online Patient Triage requests, with 848 submitted between 12th and 31st May. This reflects a growing preference for using our online system to request appointments and clinical advice.
As a result, we received around 1,000 fewer phone calls in May compared to April. This has helped our team manage urgent, same-day demand more effectively, especially during peak times from 8:30 AM onwards.
We remain committed to improving access and ensuring that patients receive the right care, first time.

Are you 50+ and would like to make a Difference in Your Community?
Why not volunteer as a RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme) Driver:
Volunteering is more than just an act of kindness; it is a way to connect with your community, support those in need, and enrich your own life. Volunteering for your local surgery is a unique opportunity that helps General Practitioners (GPs) and nurses, makes a significant difference to the lives of patients, and offers personal rewards for the volunteers themselves. If you enjoy meeting people and sharing your time, this could be the perfect role for you.
Many older patients face difficulties in getting to their health appointments. As a volunteer driver, you can help ensure they make it to their appointments safely and on time. This role involves picking up patients from their homes, driving them to the surgery, and taking them back home afterward. It is a vital service that helps maintain the continuity of care for these individuals.
Volunteering is a two-way street. While you are helping others, you also gain a sense of personal fulfilment. The gratitude and smiles from the patients you assist can be incredibly rewarding. Knowing that you have made a positive difference in someone’s life can boost your own mental and emotional well-being.
If you are interested in volunteering, please speak to the reception team who will give you an application pack and instructions on how to apply,
