Shared Care Prescribing Policy

At our practice, we are committed to working closely with secondary care providers to ensure the best possible management of your medications. For certain medications initiated in secondary care that have a BNSSG (Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire) shared care prescribing policy, and are overseen by BNSSG contractors, we will consider taking over prescribing responsibilities with ongoing secondary care supervision once the patient is stable.

Please note that while we carefully review these requests, acceptance of shared care prescribing is not automatic. We reserve the right to decline shared care prescribing if, after assessment, it is deemed not appropriate for your individual care within our practice.
